Balestriere Lanza PLLC Spins Off Consulting and Investigations Units Into The Crossbow Group LLC

NEW YORK, May 23, 2005

Balestriere Lanza PLLC has spun off its consulting and investigations units into a separate and independent company, The Crossbow Group LLC. The company will provide consulting and investigative services to individual, company, and institutional clients, including investigative due diligence, risk management consulting, internal investigations, background checks, and litigation consulting.

Asked why he decided to launch a separate company, John Balestriere said, "The demand for the kinds of investigative and consulting services we provide is simply booming. In order to meet that demand and provide clients with the specific services they need, it became clear that we needed to have a separate company that only focused on these two areas." Mr. Balestriere will serve as both the Principal of Balestriere Lanza PLLC and the Chief Executive Officer of The Crossbow Group.

Balestriere Lanza PLLC will maintain a strategic relationship with The Crossbow Group, using its investigative and consulting services to serve its clients' needs.

Balestriere Lanza PLLC is a trials and investigations law firm. The firm represents individuals, companies, and institutions in criminal and civil matters in trial and appellate courts, in intense negotiations, during arbitrations, and before grand juries, securities regulators, and government agencies. The firm also conducts internal investigations of alleged misconduct at companies and organizations, and provides monitoring services to companies in different industries. Balestriere Lanza PLLC combines a complex and sophisticated litigation background with hard nosed investigation experience and the ability to push cases to trial and win at trial. Our offices are located at 225 Broadway, Suite 2900 New York, NY 10007.
