Unlike most law firms, Balestriere Lanza is willing to share the risk with clients in litigation. We do not get paid simply for effort. We get paid for the value we obtain for our clients.

To that end, in our private commercial, financial, and business litigation we are NOT paid by the hour but, instead, work on a blended contingency fee basis. This means we get paid a modest flat rate -- either once, or on a schedule such as monthly -- but receive most of our fees, if any, based on the result we obtain for our client. If we represent plaintiffs, we obtain a percentage of the financial recovery. If we represent defendants, we devise a system of bench marks (including a so-called reverse contingency depending on the agreed upon client exposure), only being paid if we meet certain bench marks.

Because we are paid this way, our financial incentive is aligned with our clients'. We only get paid and win if you get paid and win.
