Balestriere Lanza PLLC Files Class Action Complaint Against It's Just Lunch Matchmaker Service for Fraud

NEW YORK, October 15th, 2007

It's Just Lunch, Inc. ("IJL") is the parent company of franchises around the nation which, under IJL's direction and control, have charged exorbitant fees for a service they say they will provide - high class, sophisticated, detailed social matchmaking services. IJL and its franchises do not do what they promise. Instead, they motivate their staff with quotas, not quality control, and continue to lie to potential clients about its service.

Balestriere Lanza PLLC (www.balestriere.net)has filed a class action complaint in federal court in New York, New York against IJL for perpetrating a long running fraud against thousands of clients. IJL induces its mostly professional, generally affluent clients to pay its high fees - amongst the highest in the social networking industry - by promising its clients personalized service. Clients use IJL to get something more than they would from a simpler, and much cheaper, internet based matchmaker. But instead of doing what they promise, IJL staff provides very little service, of very low quality, making matches motivated by a desire to meet monthly quotas, often violating state consumer fraud laws in the process.

The lawsuit seeks class action status on behalf all clients of IJL who signed a contract with IJL during the period of 1993 to October 15, 2007 (“Class Period”). The plaintiff and Class seek to obtain all the fees they were fraudulently induced to pay, along with costs related to the suit.
